A glovebox is a hermetically sealed enclosure providing a working space that is completely separated from the outside environment. A glovebox contains an artificially created atmosphere of a pure argon can be operated with both overpressure relative to the surrounding atmosphere and also with negative pressure.
The working gas is circulated by the blower of the gas purifier. The contaminated working gas flows through a gas filter where moisture and oxygen are removed. The purified working gas then flows back into the working space. This process ensures that an inert gas atmosphere is maintained, typically containing oxygen and moisture concentrations below 1 ppm.
There are two gloveports for access to the working space inside the box for handling process materials and instruments.
One cylindrical antechamber with ø 390 mm, length 600 mm and a mini-antechamber, ø 150 mm, length 400 mm are available for transfer of materials, components and tools into or out of the box.
